simvalley MOBILE 1.5"-Smartwatch AW-414.Go mit Android4, BT, WiFi, Cam von Pearl

Habe diese Handy-Uhr am 22.1.2014 gekauft und stelle nach ein paar intensiven Test-Tagen folgendes fest:

Positiv:

• Sehr performant (Cortex A7-Prozessor mit 1,2-GHz) trotz nur 512 MB RAM
• Viele Games laufen, z.B. Temple Run 1 und viele mehr und dies ohne Lags
• Youtube läuft sehr flüssig
• Sehr gute Akkuleistung: nach voller Ladung bei angemessener Verwendung (sogar mit  "Awesome On Off - Smart Screen" und hunderten von Einschaltungen) abends noch oft bei gut 50%! 1 Std. online Navigation mit Sprache braucht nur ca. 20% des Akkus!
• Touchscreen reagiert sehr gut
• Kontextmenü und Zurück-Button sehr elegant gelöst (dürfte von Apple bald kopiert werden ...)
• Sehr aktuelle Android Version: Android 4.2.2 JellyBean
• Akzeptiert microSD Speicherkarten bis 32 GB
• Akzeptiert die meistverbreitete Micro-SIM
• Freier Android Markt in aktueller Version!

Negativ:

• 240 x 240 Pixel, deshalb eingeschränkte Kompatibilität
• Kein Favoriten-Screen, nur eine Übersicht ALLER Apps hintereinander (4 pro Seite) - aber klar, man kann ja einen Launcher installieren - ist aber nicht ganz das Gleiche, wie z.B. TochWiz
• Keine Widgets möglich (jedenfalls so weit ich das sehe ....) - nur via Custom Launcher
• Umständlich zum laden (separates Gehäuse). Da ist die Z1 Handy-Uhr unschlagbar!
• Inkompatible Apps (bisher):

• Eye-Fi (login wird nicht angezeigt)
• NoLED (NoLED Berechtigung kann in den System Settings nicht bestätigt werden)

Speziell empfehlenswerte Apps für die mobile Watch:

• "Awesome On Off - Smart Screen"
• "Nova Launcher" 
• "Sleep offline airplane mode" (theoretisch könnte man die Handy-Uhr permanent offline stellen und bei Screen-ON temporär den Airpline mode deaktivieren, aber 1. dauert es relativ lange, 2. kommt dann ein Zwischen-Screen und 3. macht das wohl nur Sinn, wenn man "Awesome On Off - Smart Screen" nicht aktiviert hat!
• "Swipe Status Bar" (=> alternativen Modus wählen - läuft sonst nicht)
• "Watchfaces" (Vollversion) bringt schöne Uhrendesigns mit einigen Funktionen
• "Google Text-in-Sprache" für bessere Sprachausgabe in der Navigation

Sonstige Tipps für die mobile Watch:

• Display Einstellungen: automatisches Drehen deaktivieren

Huge battery consumption and heat production on Samsung Galaxy Note II with Android 4.3

Hi

After updating my Samsung Galaxy Note II to Android 4.3 I had a huge battery consumption and heat production in the upper third section of the mobile phone.

I updated some apps but no improve. So I checked the settings/battery and there was a 60% use for the display. Therefore I disabled the NoLED App and ... surprise or not ... the heat was gone and battery works almost forever!!!

Win 7 / Win 8 is not going into proper standby (fan still operating) - what to do?

1. Start CMD.EXE as administrator:
   
   
   
2. Type: "powercfg -energy -output c:\energy.html"
   
   
   
3. After starting "powercfg" (and before 60 seconds are over):
1. Goto Window / Shutdown / Standby (activate this !)
   
4. Wait a few seconds till it goes on standby
   
5. Hit any key or activate system by moving the mouse
   
6. Wait till 60 seconds are over
   
7. powercfg tells you that the report in c:\energy.html now is ready
   
8. Goto the "Error Section", where you can see what is preventing your system against proper standby
    
   
9. If it says it's e.g. device no. 26 and you don't know which one is device 26, then goto system hardware manager and open USB section and open for each entry the properties and you find on the first tab the device number:
   
   
   
10. Then go to the 2nd tab (enhanced) and you see the name of the device:
    
    

That's it. In my case it was my N7100 Galaxy Note II and a new Mouse, directly plugged into USB of the PC. Then I bought a USB hub and plugged both things there - then it worked fine again with standby ;-))

Pros: (partly german)

• nice shape
• easy install
• very reasonable
• very precise
• fast clicking and scrolling
• Ergonomisches, komfortables Design
• One-Click-Taste für Doppelfeuer
• Geschwindigkeitsauswahltaste (800-2000 dpi)
• Goldplattierter USB-Stecker
• Seitliche Gummiflächen für optimale Grifffestigkeit

Cons:

• two finger pickup (to adjust location on mouse-mat) very bad. Often losing hold.
• they advertise 7 buttons - actually there are only 4 usable buttons ... the rest is scroll wheel, DPI adjust button, double-click button ... 7 buttons is just a marketing joke ... very poor ...

Suggestion: invest a little bit more money and buy someting else ... like "Roccat Kone XTD"  ;-))

Problem with HP 410 C: Printer automatically removed -> reinstall HP 410 C Photosmart Premium Driver

What a surprise: after using this printer for more than one year suddenly the corresponding driver was removed from my Win7. It was not really easy to reinstall, so I wrote it down for other users:

1. Download driver from HP site (currently "PS_AIO_07_C410_FSW_Full_Win_deu_140_222.exe") 
2. Double click it to start
3. Chose point 1 and click on "weitere Software installierten:
4. Then it should reinstall the driver
5. After that you probably still don't find your printer in the printer section
6. If so - please open: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\HP\Photosmart Prem C410 series
7. click on "Gerät hinzufügen"
   
8. The re-install routine should start and then choose the type of your connection and then everything should be done by the (re-)install-routine.
9. If some problems persist - please download further assistance tools from HP.COM like "HPPSdr.exe" or "hppiw.exe" - maybe they can help ... but better don't rely on this ...

MeteoEarth (my favourite ... but also most expensive ...): Very interactive, informative, beautiful and perfect animated weather prediction of the whole world for the next two days. On premium even for four days with multi layer view and storms:

Meteosphere: Nicely animated lightning forecast on (but the rest is much better on "MeteoEarth":

MeteoEarth: very interactive (movable to compare regions !!!) climate diagrams for the whole world:

Search.ch: Nicely animated rain radar (Switzerland only) with longer period then on SwissWeather:

Weather Underground: Water temperatures for lakes and sea for the whole world !!!

eWeather HD: Beautiful overview with almost every data possible:

BlitzKarte: nice realtime lightning detector (unfortunately it's necessary to select from three regions worldwide in the settings - no option to see everything ...):

search.ch: nice overview / weather prediction of one spot (Switzerland only):

MeteoSwiss: very nice overview of all weather aspects on one screen. On tablet pc even better (plus temp./rain graph), but swiss only:

Weather Underground: very nice scalable map with (ground) temperatures easy to watch:
