1. Update all of your apps to latest versions
2. Update your profiles to current settings:
1. Whatsapp: e.g. new phone number (very important to restore backup later on)
3. Use backup function of your apps to save data to your local storage on the phone or in the cloud (e.g. Google drive) like
1. WhatsApp (only on local drive)
2. Soundhound (backup your favorites on spotify)
3. Google Drive Synch (local)
4. Use Android settings for backup on Google Servers: 
1. Settings / Accounts / Backup and restore / "Save my Data" (checkbox)
5. Use a specific backup software to secure your app data and other things
